Un policier abat un homme désarmé en direct
08/01/2009 : La police des transports de la région d'Oakland, en Californie, a lancé un appel au calme, ce lundi 5 janvier 2008, après la diffusion sur internet de vidéos où l'on peut voir un policier blesser mortellement par balle un jeune homme maintenu au sol par ses collègues. Le malheureux incident a eu lieu le 1er janvier 2008 dans une station de métro d'Oakland. Des agents de Bay Area Rapid Transit appelés à la suite de bagarres, avaient interpellé plusieurs individus dont Oscar Grant, un jeune homme de 22 ans. Plusieurs passagers veulent intervenir.... Sur la vidéo, tournées par des amateurs à l'aide de téléphones portables, on découvre les instants suivant ces interpellations. On peut entendre plusieurs passagers prendre à partie les agents qui semblent avoir du mal à contrôler la situation. Après quelques minutes de confusion, on peut entendre un coup de feu. on voit deux policiers maintenir au sol Oscar Grant. Un troisième se tient debout juste à côté, sort son arme et tire sur le jeune homme à terre. L'officier est levé de ses fonctions L'officier en question, qui travaille depuis deux ans dans la police, a été relevé de ses fonctions le temps de l'enquête. La famille d'Oscar Grant a de son côté décidé de porter plainte. Selon Bet.com et la rédaction de post.com, la famille du jeune qui a été tué demande 25 millions de dollar de dédommagement. Il est en effet évoqué qu'il s'agirait d'un meurtre lié a des tensions raciales entre les Latinos et la communaute noire à Oakland puisque, d'après Mercury News, le policier tueur présumé est Latino.

08/01/2009 : SP 4449 - Deschutes Steam Special '06 [JDF Remasters] So this is one video in a series of MORE VIDEOS called JDF Remasters. Basically, I'll take my OLD videos, and make them more high quality. Like a remastered album! On the morning of September 16th, 2006, I woke up early with my dad, heading for Union Station, to catch the SP 4449 taking off for it's Deschutes Steam Special. There was quite a few people there, but not as many as I thought there would be. I guess they were all on the train. Anyways, I thought it was pretty cool that I got to catch it leaving Union Station. It's whistle sounded just a tad off to me....what do you think? http://www.sp4449.com
