Gary Burton & Makoto Ozone
30/01/2007 : Fils d'un musicien jouant de l'orgue Hammond, Makoto Ozone commence à se produire comme « enfant prodige » sur cet instrument. À 12 ans, fan d'Oscar Peterson, Il passe au piano. En 1980, Makoto Ozone va étudier à la « Berklee School of Music ». En 1983, il est engagé Gary Burton (qui enseigne dans cette école) pour jouer dans son quartet. En 1984, il enregistre son premier disque comme leader pour « CBS ». En 1989, Makoto Ozone, retourne au Japon où il mène de front une carrière de jazzmen, de musicien classique et d'animateur de shows télévisés. Makoto Ozone est un pianiste de jazz de stature internationale. On a pu l'entendre aux côtés de musiciens comme Chick Corea, Michel Petrucciani, Peter Erskine, John Patitucci, Paquito D'Rivera, Marc Johnson, Chuck Loeb, Jeff Lorber,...
