Tribute to Michael Brecker - Carles GR Quartet - Jazz
31/08/2008 : Carles GR, nous présente son nouveau travail discographique « Tribute to Michael Brecker » dans lequel réalise un hommage à ce grand saxophoniste américain Michael Brecker. Carles GR a choisi pour cette occasion la formation de quartet, composé par : Sylvain Sourdeix aux saxos soprano et ténor, Philippe Petit à l'organe Hammond et le légendaire Philippe Combelle à la batterie. Le disque sera présenté en France en octobre 2008. Enregistré à Rochefort dans le studio Alhambra-Colbert avec le label Cristal Records et la production de Zzz'Productions. Le répertoire est composé par les trois périodes principales de Michael Brecker, Steps Ahead, The Brecker's Brothers et sa carrière comme leader. Fruit d?une tournée effectuée en Amérique du Sud par le quartet de Carles GR, avant l'enregistrement, nous pouvons écouter un groupe compact avec une identité propre qui maitrise un répertoire coloré et imprégné d'énergie. Nous trouvons également des thèmes originaux écrits par Carles GR et Philippe Petit spécialement pour cet album.

Dennis Chambers - Studio Performance
22/12/2006 : Dennis Chambers commença la percussion à quatre ans, puis joua dès six ans dans les boîtes de nuit. Il fut le batteur de Funkadelic pendant une décennie. Il travailla ensuite pour Bill Evans, George Duke, Stanley Clarke, les Brecker Brothers et Niacin dans les années 1990. Getting Even sera le nom de son premier album solo en 1991 et Outbreak plus récemment.
