01/04/2008 : Daniel Humair a un CV long comme les décorations sur la veste d?un général russe. De tous temps, il fut l?homme de la situation, celui sur lequel on peut compter, celui qui va mettre le feu aux poudres. Sa carte blanche nous montre une fois de plus combien ce batteur rayonnant est le catalyseur des nouvelles générations. Jouant tour à tour avec les plus grands et dans tous les contextes. Du jazz New Orleans de ses débuts, de sa précoce maturité bebop avec Don Byas, Lucky Thompson, Bud Powell, puis Dexter Gordon, Jean-Luc Ponty, Martial Solal, Phil Woods, Gerry Mulligan. Daniel n?a cessé d?être de son temps, tel le peintre contemporain qu?il est par ailleurs, on a pu l?entendre auprès de Michel Portal, Dave Liebman, Jerry Bergonzi, Tony Malabi. Il est plus facile de citer les musiciens avec lesquels il n'a pas joué, Miles Davis et Sonny Rollins, que l'inverse tant la liste et longue. Passionné de musique et de peinture (quelques ?uvres ornent notre établissement et nous en sommes fiers) Daniel l?est aussi par les créateurs de tous poils. 11/02/2007 : Anthropology Thompson Lucky 1959 Lucky Thompson the famous American early bebop tenor saxophonist is on a visit to the Blue Note Club in Paris. In December 1959 this clip was recorded with the Bud Powell trio with Kenny Clarke on drums and Pierre Michelot on bass. Also an interesting guitar solo from Jimmy Gourley.
